Hi y’all! I’m a 40-something mom trying my best to do right by my family and help us all live a peaceful, loving life. I’ve been married for nearly two decades and have a wildling of a son. We live in Oklahoma, in the middle of nowhere. Like, literally, the closest town is 20 minutes away!

I’m a former secondary teacher with over a decade of experience. I taught high school, then switched to middle school. I loved my job! But while public school was always a great place for me, it was not the right fit for our son. We quit our city life, downsized our living situation, and moved to the country so that we could homeschool our kiddo and get away from all the hustle of it all.

Now I’m navigating special education homeschooling, renovating a fixer-upper, planting a garden, taking care of chickens, and living on one income. We’re making it–1 piece at a time!
